Finally, the wait is over for me. Watched Rashomon yesterday and loved it. Generally, i have been running high on Kurusawa fever this sem but Rashomon still remained elusive until yesterday.
It reminded me so much of Night of January 16 by Ayn Rand. When each character narrate their stories to the judge, we never see the judge, they just face the camera. It is us who are put on trial, it is us who has to decide. Brilliant!
This movie is credited in imdb as the reason why oscars had to invent foreign language category. Isn't it interesting!
Takashi Shimura is such an amazing actor, he gels in every role.
